We have a fantastic restaurant in the stable yard which is open all day. You can enjoy fresh patisserie in the morning, delicious lunches, cream teas after a long walk or a day on the beach and of course a relaxed dinner (booking: 01326 221595). The stable yard is also home of the Cornwall Crafts Association Gallery which has exhibitions of jewellery, furniture, textiles and ceramics of the highest quality throughout the year.
The Rococo Gardens are undergoing restoration with the aid of the Countryside Commission and English Heritage. Laid out in the 1750s by Dionysus Williams in the then new English Landscape style, this transitional garden survives intact, largely buried under brambles and fallen trees. The estate has a specialist nursery offering a wide selection of plants including Fritallarias, Eremurus, Alliums and Lillies, as well as herbaceous perennials and culinary herbs.
Trelowarren Estate lies at the heart of The Lizard, Cornwall's most southerly peninsula which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Idyllic beaches, the Helford River and miles of cliff walks are within 15 minutes drive. Situated only half an hour from St. Ives (Tate Gallery), Truro (great shopping) and Penzance (helicopter to the Isles of Scilly).
