The Caravan on the Green
2021 Price range £325 to £550
Sleeps 2/4 – Old showman’s caravan and cedar chalet
The gypsy caravan enjoys an idyllic waterside position on the edge of Gillan Creek, sheltered by trees, very quiet and isolated with no car access. The caravan is reached by a footpath from the lane above, or by walking along the beach from St. Anthony. There is a lay-by and parking on the lane for one car, although people often prefer to leave their car at St Anthony 100 yards away.
Although there is no electricity or hot water, lantern torches are provided and a washing machine, tumble dryer and spin dryer are available for your use in the laundry room at St Anthony.
Facilities are as simple as the position is beautiful. Situated on a grassy spit known as the Green, the view from the caravan is lovely, looking straight down the creek to the sea. The windows open wide to let in the sea air and the view down the creek. There is space alongside for small tents for more adventurous children.
The Lizard Peninsula has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty where wooded creeks give way to wild cliffs and surfing beaches. The caravan provides all the pleasures of camping with few of the inconveniences. It is ideal for couples in need of a complete break
